Hey readers, I am really buckling down and going to hold myself accountable for blogging. When I don't blog I feel bad and it really nags on me because I feel like I'm letting you readers down! So I'm armed with my list of blog ideas and I will try to fit in an hour or so of blogging each day. Now, on to today's topic of conversation. Your brows girl! Okay how many of you have gotten your eyebrows waxed before? Me personally I never saw the appeal nor the necessity behind eyebrow waxing I just plucked the stray brow hair and called it good.
Then I started to think, I should really get some shape in here! Unsure of how to do it myself I let my eyebrows grow and get slightly unruly, while I debated whether I should watch a YouTube video and figure it out on my own or I should go and get them done professionally. I had heard so many horror stories about people going to get them waxed and having them not turn out or they took too much eyebrow hair and it didn't grow back and I was worried. Then I bucked up and made an appointment. I made an appointment with at the waxing salon that I have been going to for a couple of years to get my bikini waxed. This meant I already had high standards for them and I had a fair amount of trust in my waxing specialist because seriously if I can trust you to bikini wax me my eyebrows should be no problem. At least that's what I told myself while I was waiting.
Not too bad most of you would say, I would have to agree but they did lack a certain finesse and really didn't have much shape. And before when I had my eyebrow ring I couldn't really get my eyebrows waxed so I just let it slide but I had been thinking about finally getting them waxed for a few months.
So go ahead and tell me that you can't see a difference, I totally could and I think they looked so much better! My waxing specialist also told me that I was tweezing too far in from my bridge and that I should not be doing that. She also said that upkeep on my own post wax would be really easy and I would be able to just tweeze away the stray hair and that once I felt like I needed to give them shape again I could come back in for another wax. It was not as scary or painful as I was lead to believe and she did a great job but I already knew she was a talented waxing specialist. I did pay a little more because I went to a strictly waxing salon where all they do is wax so they charge a little bit more but I felt much better about my eyebrows after and I would recommend that if you have been thinking about it but were hesitant to definitely go ahead and do it!
