Sometimes readers, I am really glad you are here. Today is one of those days. When my life gets crazy and hectic because in case you haven't heard I am the living breathing version of every movie created around a college student struggling to make it in the world. I work three jobs, I have two remote internships, and I attend one of the most prestigious art and design colleges in the states. Now I am not telling you this to brag or inspire pity I am telling you this so you understand how much it means to me that you guys read this blog and make posting to it so much fun. If I didn't have this to take my mind off my everyday issues and struggles I'm pretty sure I would have run for the nearest bomb shelter and locked myself in for the rest of time! A little dramatic maybe but you really are appreciated and I hope you have enjoyed the more personal look into my life with these Blogtember prompts from Brave Love Blog.
You readers however aren't the only thing that gets me through my day another big help is music. I turn to music to console me in all areas of my life. Today I will be sharing what I consider to be meaningful music. My music taste changes daily, and I read a meme somewhere that accurately described my taste in music, I like everything except for the songs that I don't like. A crazy description but it is the most accurate for my eclectic tastes!
Burning House - Cam You guys, I know she apparently has been around for a while but is just finally getting radio play and I am sad to know that I am late to the Cam party but I LOVE this song and I have listened to it every day this week and her pandora station has become my go-to recently! She has a lot of good music but this one might be my favorite, for now ;)
Come on Get Higher - Matt Nathanson Ever since my mom introduced me to Matt Nathanson before he was actually popular and got radio play we both have been in love! He sings about sad things, happy things, and he does it all in a way that is easy to listen to and that can be listened to in no matter what mood you are in. I like the easy listening style of his music and his voice. He has a new album coming out Oct 2nd and needless to say I am so excited! Even though his style has changed I still love his music new and old.
Six Degrees of Seperation - The Script You guys, I love The Script more than I can even express to you. I love how they manage to slip swear words in their songs and you barely notice because you are too busy singing your heart out. They sing about real life and they sing about heartbreak and they sing about getting stronger. I cant even put into words why I love them so much I just do!
Rebel Love Song - Black Veil Brides And then you have Black Veil Brides. Ever since I saw them open for Avenged Sevenfold YEARS ago when the lead singer Andy was only 19 and I was all of 17 I have been a die hard fan. I've seen them in concert four times and every time they have put on an amazing show and have always met my expectations! I think it is good to give a voice to that kid inside of you that doesn't feel like they fit in and for me Black Veil Brides does that.
They Don't Need To Understand - Andy Black This one is just a bonus along with Black Veil Brides, this is a project that the lead singer of BVB is pursuing on his own along with BVB and I think this song is great and it speaks to a part of me that I very rarely acknowledge even though I should.
So guys what are your picks for meaningful music?? Honestly I could go on and on for a mile but I kept it nice and short,, although maybe ill add a my music tab to the blog so you guys can see what I am listening to? Thoughts?
